I am busting at the seams with some really promising news, but I can't share it yet!!! GRRRRR!!!
(In case you're from Planet Mars, and accidentally stumbled upon this blog on your quest for hot Spring fashion colors... let me assure you, I am not pregnant, and I certainly am not about to do anything remotely related to adoption.)
But this news is still big for our family, and our future, and our marriage. And while it is "our" news, it's mostly related to my DH, and so I will wait for him to give me the go-ahead to share it ;) It shouldn't be too much longer...
And so I won't tease you with that anymore.
Just know, I am one. happy. non-Mama :)
In other news, Easter was a hit, food-wise. I brought a gigantic bone-in fresh ham to my parents' house and cooked it myself... the sucker must have weighed at least 30lbs, I kid you not. It took ALL DAY to cook!! But it was so worth it in the end :) It came out looking identical to pork, and it was only then I realized, hey, maybe HAM SHOULDN'T BE NEON PINK?!?!?! Blech. I will never eat pink cured ham again.
Also, I was talking to my sister and asking for her prayers the other day for this "development" - and she decided to offer us a Mass at my hometown parish. She threw out some dates that the church had available, and these were her words:
"You can have April 23, Feast of St George (martyr), or April 25, Feast of St Mark (Gospel)."
Ummmmm, HELLO??!?!?!?!?!!
ST GEORGE!!!!
I said, It's gonna have to be St George, he's my patron for 2012!!
(Not to mention, I had completely forgotten his Feast Day was approaching, and I need to start the Novena TOMORROW!!)
Then, shortly after St George's Feast Day will be St Gianna's Feast Day. Another Saint near and dear to my heart and crucial throughout my infertility journey. I'll actually be doing both Noevenas simultaneously for a few days.
As much as I hate to admit it... this actually does give me hope for this cycle. Ugh :( Which means a harder CD 1, of course. But I feel like these two Saints working together at the same time is really going to work some miracles in my life. There's a reason why I feel so strongly about this, which I can't elaborate on at the moment (I know, I'm just full of secrets today, aren't I?) - but maybe someday I will elaborate.
Guess you'll just have to keep reading :)
Oh. And I have NO IDEA what cycle day I'm on (except that my sore bbs do indicate post-Peak), and I LOVE IT!!! Hahahaha, Free At Last, Thank God Almighty!!
*PS, I just went back and read my old post from 2009 after St Gianna's Feast Day Mass (my 1st one), and omgosh... I regressed!! I think I was so much more spiritually advanced 3 years ago, lmao!!! I was actually sitting here yelling at myself, "YOU SILLY FOOL!!" - hahahaha!

TCIE...you and your suspense! I know you're at least having a small giggle watching us squirm in the excitement of your "news". Mmmmm that ham sounds delish! I know what you mean about feeling more spiritually advanced in the past instead of the present. I feel that way about my high school years. I think we sometimes are sheltered in naivete and mistake it for maturity...that's my take anyway. Either way though, you're much more "advanced" than me and I always enjoy your insight.
You are killing me!! I cannot WAIT to hear your happy news!
No more teasing!!!
I know what you mean about regressing ... I have definitely regressed. Just read my blog.
I think I deserve to know or you cant come Sunday and eat antipast salad!
:P
